How it works

1. Choose a Car

Customers can browse major Japanese auto auction websites to find their desired vehicle. Once found, simply send us the auction link or the auction inspection sheet. Our professional team will help translate the Japanese notes on the inspection sheet and thoroughly analyze the vehicle's condition (including interior/exterior flaws, repair history, and true grading) to ensure you are fully informed before bidding.

2. Set a Maximum Bid

Before the auction begins, we will provide an objective price reference based on recent actual market transaction data. After consultation, you will set your "maximum acceptable bid." We will strictly adhere to this budget limit during the auction and never exceed it, allowing you to control your purchasing costs precisely.

3. Proxy Bidding

Before bidding, a deposit is required to lock in your bidding intent. Our specialists will bid on your behalf in real-time on the day of the auction. If successful, the deposit will be directly applied to the balance of the vehicle price. If unsuccessful, the deposit is 100% fully refundable. We strictly follow a "No Win, No Proxy Fee" policy.

4. Export and Shipping

Upon successfully winning the bid and settling the remaining balance, we will immediately handle all the complex procedures in Japan, including vehicle deregistration and export customs clearance. Afterwards, we will arrange the earliest available container or RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) sea freight and secure appropriate marine insurance to transport your car safely to Hong Kong.

5. Arrival, Customs Assessment & Inspection

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, we will immediately declare the vehicle to Customs and request a tax assessment. The customer has full flexibility at this stage: if you are satisfied with the assessed tax value and intend to drive on public roads, we will proceed with the government-approved vehicle inspections (including emissions, noise tests, and pre-registration exams). Alternatively, customers have the right to opt against registration and keep the vehicle for private ownership (e.g., for collection or track use). In this case, the Customs tax assessment and vehicle inspection processes are bypassed, and we will arrange direct delivery.

6. Registration and Delivery

For vehicles intended for road use that have passed inspection, we will assist in preparing all necessary documents (such as the insurance cover note) and handle the First Registration and licensing procedures at the Transport Department on your behalf. Once all paperwork is complete and taxes are settled, we will give the vehicle a basic wash and officially hand over the keys to your perfect ride at a designated location.

Time From winning the auction to final handover, it typically takes 4 to 6 weeks. This includes Japanese export logistics and shipping (approx. 2–3 weeks), followed by HK Customs tax assessment, government inspection, and licensing (approx. 2–3 weeks). We will track the progress and keep you updated every step of the way.

Common questions

Can you bid a car I found?

Yes. Whether you have an auction link or inspection sheet from a major Japanese auto auction (such as USS, TAA, or CAA) or just a specific model in mind, send it to us. We will check the auction schedule, translate the sheet, and give you an estimate.

What if we do not win?

If the bid is unsuccessful, the deposit is refunded in full, with no proxy or administrative fee. Refunds are typically processed within 1–2 business days.

How is tax calculated?

Hong Kong First Registration Tax is charged on a progressive rate based on the taxable value assessed by Customs (CIF: the car, insurance, and freight). We will estimate the duty and the total cost for you at no charge. The final figure is the official Customs assessment. You can also try our tax calculator.

How long until it is in Hong Kong?

From winning the auction to final handover, it typically takes 4 to 6 weeks. This includes Japanese export logistics and shipping (approx. 2–3 weeks), followed by HK Customs tax assessment, government inspection, and licensing (approx. 2–3 weeks).
